Four Anjels has recently joined the Olidor Group, a growing portfolio of companies within the food industry. The Olidor Group also includes Brusco Food Group, an industry expert in ingredients supply, Karimix, a specialist worldwide inspired sauce producer, and The Original Baker, a producer of premium artisan baked goods.
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Managing Director to provide strategic, commercial and operational leadership for Four Anjels, driving forward ambitious growth plans whilst ensuring an exceptional workplace culture across our bakery and office teams.
The successful candidate will have experience of leading successful, high growth SMEs and will bring engaging and inspiring leadership skills and commercial acumen. Relevant food industry experience is essential, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in food manufacturing.
The MD will report direct to Olidor’s CEO and will have responsibility for all Four Anjels teams. This role offers excellent opportunities for personal and professional development with the potential for future career growth within the wider Olidor Group.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver the strategic business plan, driving business growth and continuous improvement.
* Strong participation in business development activities working in conjunction with the commercial team to drive rapid growth in the business.
* Support operational leadership with the delivery of efficient and effective production ensuring ongoing competitiveness to meet customer needs.
* Lead and inspire the Four Anjels team, with clear, open and transparent communication, encouraging an environment of psychological safety with two way involvement across the organisation.
* Foster a high performance culture with an engaged, collaborative and accountable team.
* Take responsibility for overall financial performance including maximising profit and managing budgets.
* Represent Four Anjels positively when meeting customers and suppliers and attending trade or industry events.
* Lead, mentor, coach and line manage the management team.
* Chair monthly Senior Management Team meetings and hold monthly Business Updates for the Four Anjels team.
* With the People team, assess resource needs and support the recruitment, onboarding and retention of high quality new starters.
* Resolve any escalated customer, supplier, product or people issues.
* Promote a food safety culture, supporting the Technical team to maintain our AA BRC grade.
* Take overall responsibility and accountability for Health and Safety.
* Oversee contracts with service providers.
* Any other duties as reasonably required to ensure the smooth running and effective leadership of Four Anjels.
Jobholder’s Competencies, Skills & Experience
* At least 2 years experience as Managing Director or 5 years in a relevant Director role and ready to step up to the next challenge.
* Demonstrated experience of crafting and executing well thought out business plans to drive profitable and sustainable growth.
* Track record of driving change and achieving positive results in a growth business.
* Engaging and inspirational leadership skills.
* Ability to translate strategic plans into clear actions and Key Success Measures.
* Flexible about adopting a hands-on approach as needed.
* Ability to remain calm and logical in a fast-paced organisation.
* Commercial and entrepreneurial, with a business owner mindset.

Salary: From £100K pa (dependant on experience and skills) + Company car/car allowance, + bonus + benefits.
Working Arrangements: 37.5 hours per week, predominantly onsite due to the nature of our food manufacturing business.
Location: Bishops Cleeve, near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
