Employeemunications Manager (AVP) (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)Job Description
Purpose of the role
To build strong and effective partnerships with the senior leadership of the organisation, advising on how to engage and influence employees to achieve the business's goals, through an insight-based employeemunications strategy, backed up with outstanding execution capability.
Accountabilities
1. Leadershipmunication, using detailed, systematic insight research to help senior leaders understand employee sentiment, and empower them tomunicate empathetically with their people.
2. Business strategy alignment, building belief in the strategy of the organisation, and the progress being made, with a strong focus on the impact employees have on the client experience.
3. Culture and employee propositionmunication, designing and implementingmunication interventions that influence individual behaviour to create a culture built on the Barclays Mindset; demonstrate why the organisation is a great place to work.
4. Change delivery, creatingmunication interventions that build employeemitment and capability through organisational change.
5. Crisis and issues management, working closely with the senior team as part of the management response, focused on the role of employees in engaging clients.
6. Capability building, leading and developing a high-performing team, building individual skills and team capabilities.

7. To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.
8. Lead a team performingplex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function. Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives and determination of reward oues

OR for an individual contributor, they will lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments, identify the need for the inclusion of other areas of specialisation toplete assignments. They will identify new directions for assignments and/ or projects, identifying abination of cross functional methodologies or practices to meet required oues.
11. Consult onplex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
12. Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control andernance agenda.
13. Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
14. Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
15. Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
16. Engage inplex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams,panies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.

Join us as an Employeemunications Manager (AVP) to support across our UK divisions at Barclays. We're looking for a talented and driven individual to join our Corporatemunications team. You'll work closely with the Senior Employeemunications Managers to engage and influence employees through an insight-basedmunications strategy.
You'll have strong experience writing for internal channels, such as intranets and Viva Engage. You will translateplex and often technical messages into clear, simple, and well-articulated stories that colleagues can understand and relate to. You will also be able to develop impactful content and assets, targeting audiences in an engaging way.
The ideal candidate will have:
18. Previous experience working in an Employeemunications role
19. Excellent writing skills, to translate technical messages into engaging stories
20. Ability to use data and insight to help senior leaders understand employee sentiment and shapemunications strategies
21. Strong track record of creating and curating content across a range of channels: events, intranet, and social channels (experience with MS365 preferred)
22. Excellent planning, prioritisation and organisation skills
23. Ability to work at pace, with tight deadlines and a strong focus on execution
24. Team-based experience, with curiosity and eagerness to get involved and solve problems
25. A creative mindset, with examples of where you've proactively suggested and worked to implement new formats, using data and insights to influence decisions
26. Ability to build a solid understanding of the business areas you support.
