Job Summary
The Community Forensic Team has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Occupational Therapist to work within the Learning Disability and Autism Pathway. The post holder will receive comprehensive training related to the specialist forensic element of the role. We seek an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide clinical leadership within the team. Candidates must be registered and have a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
You will lead and develop other professionals in the team while managing a caseload. The role involves providing specialist consultation and advice to the team and non-forensic services, supporting inpatient services to determine safe discharge pathways, and developing relationships with stakeholders to enhance occupational opportunities in the community.
This position is ideal for someone interested in leadership and service development, with a proven track record of innovation and positive practice. As a relatively new team, this is a genuine opportunity to lead and inspire in a dynamic environment.
Main Duties
* Promote the vision and values of Humber NHS Teaching Foundation Trust.
* Assess and treat patients/clients individually or in groups as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Lead in a specialist area, contributing to service development and policy formulation.
* Supervise/manage staff and students within the specialist area.
* Provide expert advice to social services, housing departments, and other professionals regarding disability, housing, legal, and funding issues.
* Lead clinical audits, conduct research, and deliver advanced practice.
