Job Title: Oracle Simphony Support Consultant
Location: Luton 2 x per week
Employment Type: Contract
Rate: £250 per day
The Role
You’ll be the go-to expert for Oracle Simphony POS support, working closely with IT, operations, and external vendors. Your focus will be ensuring system stability, managing low-level configuration changes, and helping push out updates across our estate.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 2nd/3rd line support for Oracle Simphony POS issues across the business.
* Carry out low-level configuration tasks (e.g. menu updates, price changes, UI layout tweaks).
* Coordinate and push configuration changes and updates across multiple locations.
* Monitor POS system health and performance; identify and resolve technical bottlenecks.
* Collaborate with IT infrastructure and service desk teams to triage and escalate issues.
* Liaise with Oracle and implementation partners where needed for bug fixes and upgrades.
* Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and change logs.
* Assist with rollouts of new venues, upgrades, or system integrations (e.g. payments, kitchen display systems).
Requirements
* Proven experience supporting Oracle Simphony POS systems (cloud or on-prem).
* Hands-on experience with Simphony configuration—ideally within a multi-site environment.
* Familiarity with EMC (Enterprise Management Console) and reporting modules.
* Basic understanding of networking, databases, and hospitality tech stack.
* Strong troubleshooting skills and a detail-oriented approach.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
* Experience with OPERA PMS or Oracle Hospitality integrations.
* Exposure to API-based integrations (Simphony Web APIs, payment gateways).
* Background in hospitality, restaurant, or leisure environments.
