Job Description: Hospitality Supervisor
A co-educational independent day and boarding school in Wellington, Somerset, catering to pupils aged 3 to 18. The school serves 800 students and staff, with 220 boarders. The role involves managing a range of catering services including breakfast, snacks, lunch, dinner, and special events. This is a 52-week contract due to the extensive hospitality, conferencing, and events held at the location.
Working Hours: This is a 7-day operation; the working pattern is 5 out of 7 days, with a set rota published in advance. Flexibility is required, but there are no split-shifts, supporting a good work-life balance. Free on-site parking is available.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Hospitality Supervisor to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Somerset. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced catering environment, either as a hospitality assistant or supervisor. You should enjoy working with a team and be passionate about delivering excellent service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the hospitality operation
* Attend regular event meetings
* Support staffing and planning for internal and external events
* Act as the main point of contact for client and school events
* Maintain high standards in service, stock replenishment, hot drinks preparation, and clearing down
Skills and Qualifications
* Excellent customer service skills
* Experience in hospitality and event management
* Strong team player
* Organised with attention to detail
Knowledge and Competencies
* Good understanding and use of verbal English
* Competent in written English and reading skills
* Experience in customer service or food preparation environments is preferred
