An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take a lead role in shaping, implementing, and overseeing the health, safety, and environmental risk management strategy for a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation. This is a senior position requiring strong leadership, policy development, and operational experience to ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day management of the Health & Safety Team and act as a key advisor to operational and senior leadership teams. Role Overview The Health & Safety Manager is responsible for promoting a positive safety culture, supporting the organisation in identifying and managing risks, and ensuring that all statutory requirements are met. This role involves close collaboration with Directors, senior managers, health and safety representatives, and compliance teams to maintain and continually improve the company’s risk management framework. Key Responsibilities Lead the operational delivery of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) services across the organisation. Manage the day-to-day operations of the HSE Department, including systems for incident reporting and analysis. Develop and implement policies and procedures that support compliance with HSE legislation and relevant industry standards. Provide strategic advice and operational guidance to directors, senior managers, and operational teams on all matters related to health, safety, and environmental risk. Review incidents and conduct investigations to identify root causes, lessons learned, and opportunities for improvement. Oversee the preparation of HSE reports, data analysis, and trend monitoring; produce alerts and bulletins to share findings across teams and contractors. Support and manage the delivery of training programmes relating to risk identification, hazard control, and regulatory compliance. Work collaboratively with compliance and quality teams to ensure integration of HSE systems within the wider governance framework.
