Job Description
What will you be doing?
We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer with strong experience in both metallic and composite structures to support major aerospace programmes. You’ll work within a multi‑disciplinary environment, contributing to the design and integration of complex structural components used in actuation systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Design of structural components such as brackets, hinge fittings, spars and related actuation‑system hardware.
* Integration of structural designs within wider system architectures.
* Application of DFM/DFA principles to ensure manufacturability and efficiency.
* Creation, modification and review of 3D models and engineering data using 3DX.
* Support of stress, manufacturing, and systems teams throughout the product lifecycle.
* Preparation of technical documentation and design justification where required.
Qualifications
* Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Structural or a related engineering discipline.
* Experience with metallic and composite structural design.
* Background in designing components for actuation systems or similar aerospace sub‑assemblies.
* Good understanding of system integration principles.
* Proficiency with 3DX (or equivalent high‑level CAD tools used in major aerospace programmes).
* Experience working within a large aerospace OEM or Tier 1 environment.
* Knowledge of certification processes; signatory‑level exposure is a plus.
