Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our VAT team. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in data entry and processing of VAT returns. Duties
* Assist with processing information accurately and efficiently using various accounting software including QuickBooks and Xero.
* Enter financial data into relevant systems with precision, maintaining up-to-date records.
* Support month-end closing processes by reconciling accounts and preparing reports.
* Collaborate with the finance team to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with organisational policies.
* Maintain organised records of financial documents and correspondence.
* Assist with other administrative tasks related to VAT as required.
Experience
* Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, xero or excel is highly desirable.
* Prior experience in accounts payable or general bookkeeping within a financial services environment is advantageous.
* Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
* Familiarity with financial processes including invoice processing and reconciliation procedures.
* Basic understanding of accounting principles and organisational finance policies.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
