Overview
Teesside University is seeking an enthusiastic and committed psychologist to join our dynamic department based within the School of Social Sciences, Humanities & Law. You will contribute to teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, support student learning and research, and help shape the future of psychology education within the department.

Qualifications and Experience
A strong subject knowledge, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to student success are required. A PhD is essential for Academic Contracts; applicants with a practice background (e.g., counselling, clinical or forensic psychology) will be prioritised.
Contract Types
These posts are available as Academic Contracts (PhD essential) to contribute to the school’s growing research activity alongside teaching, or as Teaching, Scholarship and Professional Practice (TSPP) contracts designed to enable staff to focus their work on industry engagement alongside teaching.

Visa and Sponsorship Information
Due to the minimum salary thresholds imposed by the UKVI, this post may qualify for University sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.
Legal and Clearance Requirements
The position is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of our clearance procedures.
