GSL Education are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive secondary school located in Eastleigh. This is a permanent, full-time role (32.5 hours per week) working within the school’s SEN provision, supporting students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to access learning, build confidence, and achieve meaningful progress.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and making a genuine difference in their educational journey. You will be based within the SEN department, working closely with students on both a 1:1 and small group basis.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Supporting students with EHCPs to engage in learning activities
* Delivering tailored interventions in line with individual needs and targets
* Assisting with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
* Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
* Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* Encouraging independence, confidence, and personal development
