Robert Half is partnering with a large services business to recruit an Interim Senior Accountant.
This is a hands-on interim role supporting a busy finance function through a period of change. The business is looking for someone technically strong, confident with month-end, and able to bring structure, accuracy and pace to financial reporting.
The Role
As Interim Senior Accountant, you will support the delivery of accurate monthly reporting, balance sheet control, reconciliations and process improvement across a large and complex finance environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Preparing and reviewing month-end journals, accruals and prepayments
* Supporting the month-end close process and ensuring reporting deadlines are met
* Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
* Reviewing financial data to ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness
* Supporting internal controls, compliance and audit requirements
* Working closely with wider finance teams to resolve reporting issues
* Improving processes, controls and reporting across core finance activities
* Supporting integration, transformation or finance improvement projects where required
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified or finalist accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA
* Strong experience in month-end reporting and financial control
* Excellent balance sheet reconciliation experience
* Comfortable working in a large, complex services business
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
* Confident working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Good Excel skills and experience working with large volumes of data
* Experience in a shared service, multinational or group environment would be useful
