We are an independent pub company based in Woking looking for a motivated Assistant Manager to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations, ensuring exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for the fresh food and beverage industry, particularly in a high turnover restaurant/bar. Duties Assist the team in overseeing daily operations to ensure the smooth running of service. Motivate and supervise staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of service and performance. Ability to lead from the front. Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly. Manage stock levels, including ordering, maintaining stock accuracy and hitting GP targets. Working with the rest of the management team to hit wage % targets. Train new employees on service standards. Work with the management team to develop strategies for improving service quality and operational efficiency Experience Previous experience required in a hospitality or restaurant management role for a minimum of 1 year. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service standards Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by operational needs.
