What's the job?
Work with your merchants to drive profitable growth on B&Q Marketplace. Support them by identifying and delivering sales opportunities at the right time and with the right tools at every stage on their growth journey on B&Q. These growth drivers will include, securing the best merchant assortment, encouraging merchants to enhance content quality, increasing product visibility with promotions, and providing insight back to your merchants to support future growth. Cultivate long term merchant relationships that accelerate their engagement and investment, eventually making B&Q their first-choice marketplace.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
ü Delivering target GMV, Take Rate and Range growth for your merchants
ü Establishing merchant growth strategies to drive long term success
ü Engaging and building relationships with sellers to drive growth by planning assortment, pricing, traffic and
promotional activities on B&Q to achieve sales goals
ü Monthly reviews with top 30 accounts
ü Understand category dynamics in the market, spotting trends and opportunities for your merchants to grow
ü Coordinate with other internal teams to ensure adequate support in areas like supply chain, customer service and
marketing; ensure changes in our business create win-win scenarios for B&Q and our merchants
ü Analysing and preparing weekly performance figures to management, active participation in weekly and monthly
business reviews
What we need:
Required Skills & Experience: Work experience
· At least 2 years’ experience in marketplace environment, e-commerce trading environment, digital platform or similar
· In depth knowledge of e-commerce sales drivers
· Previous experience in a scale up business is a plus Skillset
· Strong merchant management and problem-solving skills with clear logical thinking
· Builds strong relationships with merchants that drives tool adoption and inspire merchants to make B&Q a primary growth channel
· Demonstrates ability to engage merchants on next best opportunity, ensuring rapid growth.
· Proven history of delivering success against target
· Good business judgment backed by analytical mindset and comfortable generating and evaluating various forecasts, metrics, and analyses
· Experience growing online sales by leveraging traffic, merchandising, content etc
· Self-motivated and proactive with can-do attitude
· Persuasive written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
· Above all, you should possess a passion for e-commerce, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment
· Detail orientated; execution focussed
· Always eagerness to learn and develop through feedback
