An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, diligent individual to join our busy HR Services team at Wellcome Sanger Institute as an On-boarding Administrator on a part time (30 hours per week) 12 month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.
Overview
This role has an onboarding focus, working closely with our Talent Acquisition team, candidates and hiring managers. You will also be cross-trained in the scope of HR Services to effectively support delivery where required.
Responsibilities
* Administer employee onboarding activity, such as creating offers of employment, conducting right to work checks, referencing, etc., in accordance with established working practices, processes, system standard operating procedures and service level agreements.
* Produce accurate correspondence by proactively verifying incoming information to ensure clarity and accuracy.
* Ensure new starter onboarding requirements and tasks are completed in line with operated timeframes.
* Conduct data validation checks in set timescales to ensure that the data held is accurate and up to date.
* Manage the central HR Services mailbox and ensure employees receive quality guidance on a variety of queries in accordance with procedures.
* Regularly generate reports (e.g., headcount, absence reporting, benefits reporting) within the system.
* Contribute to the improvement of HR processes and procedures.
* Cross-train in key employee changes processes to effectively support service delivery.
* Demonstrable administration experience, ideally in HR environment but not essential.

About You
You must have excellent organisational skills and essentially the ability to manage multiple tasks, while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting delivery deadlines. You will also need to be adaptable in responding to changing circumstances or requirements and be an effective customer-focused team player with excellent communication skills.

This is a part-time role (30 hours p/w). Hours may be worked across four or five days via a flexible working arrangement. The non-working day should not be a Wednesday or Friday.
