DataCamp is seeking a talented individual to join our infrastructure team within the Platform Engineering department. As part of a cross-functional team, you'll be responsible for CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure on AWS, logging, monitoring, security, and the data platform on GCP. You will help advise production engineering teams on infrastructure best practices and ensure the commercial availability of the DataCamp platform. You'll enhance developer productivity, scalability, availability, and security through continuous improvement. A key aspect of this role involves adding new features to our internal engineering portal using Spotify Backstage.
Responsibilities:
* Enable development teams to deploy applications seamlessly.
* Advise on infrastructure requirements for new courses and projects.
* Manage company-wide shared resources for the microservice architecture.
* Build and maintain internal services to support development operations.
* Prioritize self-service solutions and automation for deployment, provisioning, cost control, and security.
* Support teams in using infrastructure services.
* Plan and implement future infrastructure improvements.
* Manage day-to-day infrastructure responsibilities.
* Deploy and manage workloads on EKS (Kubernetes) using Istio and self-service pipelines.
* Provision infrastructure using Terraform.
* Manage the Kong API Gateway.
* Support the DataCamp Data Platform on BigQuery with Airflow.
* Take ownership of the Learn Multiplexer product.
Qualifications:
* 2+ years administering/maintaining infrastructure tools (AWS, Docker, K8s).
* 2+ years of development experience (TypeScript, Python).
* 2+ years implementing deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
* 2+ years of security tooling experience (vulnerability scanning).
* Experience with Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, etc).
* Interest in understanding and scaling complex systems.
* Interest in monitoring and self-healing systems.
* Highly organized with a flexible attitude and willingness to learn.
* Improves the team through code reviews and documentation.
* Collaborative team player.
