Sports Coach
Permanent and all-year round (term-time plus multi-sports holiday club)
This role involves teaching girls’ games, including supervision in contexts where it is appropriate for a female member of staff. Therefore, this post is open to female applicants only, in accordance with a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
Lady Barn House School is seeking to appoint a Sports Coach to join our PE department. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic individual to contribute to a well-established and successful sports programme.
The role involves working with pupils aged 3 to 11, supporting the delivery of Physical Education and Girls’ Games, as well as contributing to fixtures, competitions and the school’s holiday club provision.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver and support high-quality PE and games lessons
* Coach pupils across all age groups, from Nursery to Prep 6
* Assist with the organisation and delivery of fixtures and competitions
* Support the development of the girls’ games and swimming programme
* Work closely with colleagues in the PE department
* Contribute to the delivery of the school’s multi-sports holiday club.
The successful candidate will:
* Have experience coaching sport, ideally within a school or youth setting
* Be confident working with children across a range of ages and abilities
* Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills
* Be reliable, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team
* Show a genuine interest in supporting pupils’ development through sport.
