Main duties of the job
This role leads and champions coproduction and lived experience engagement across Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke, ensuring service user voices shape care, therapy provision and service development in line with Cygnet values. The Co‑Production Lead works under the supervision of the Occupational Therapy team, facilitates the Peoples Council, supports vocational rehabilitation, meaningful activity and community engagement, builds links with external resources and contributes to therapeutic, recovery‑focused and quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke is a 71‑bedded mental health facility located in Weston‑super‑Mare. It offers emergency acute and PICU admission services, pathways to rehabilitation, a specialist service for personality disorder and extensive landscaped grounds with outdoor therapy spaces.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £29,152 per annum

* Ability to facilitate groups or forums in a supportive, empowering and inclusive way.
* Understanding of vocational rehabilitation, meaningful activity and their role in recovery.
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with service users, staff and external partners.
* Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Confidence to promote inclusive, collaborative and trauma‑informed approaches to care.
* Ability to work autonomously, using initiative and good judgement, while seeking appropriate supervision.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to contribute to service improvement and quality initiatives.
