Regional Director – Housing, Property & Estates

Dawson Jones Recruitment is exclusively supporting the appointment of a Regional Director for a large and ambitious housing provider operating across the Midlands.
This is a rare opportunity to join a significant organisation at a pivotal stage in its journey. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping culture, driving performance and delivering excellent customer outcomes across a regional portfolio of approximately 8,500 homes.
Reporting into the Executive Team, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across Housing Management, Property Services and Estates Services for a regional portfolio of approximately 8,500 homes. In addition, through your Property Services responsibilities, you will hold organisation wide accountability for DLO operations, playing a key role in driving performance, consistency and service excellence across the wider business.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring someone who can balance strategic thinking with operational delivery while creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
The Role
* Providing strategic and operational leadership across Housing Management, Property Services and Estates Services
* Leading customer focused service delivery across a regional portfolio of approximately 8,500 homes
* Holding organisation wide accountability for DLO operations
* Driving performance across repairs, maintenance, compliance and operational services
* Leading service improvement, transformation and cultural change initiatives
* Building and embedding a high performance culture focused on accountability, ownership and excellent customer outcomes
* Managing significant operational budgets, resources and business plans
* Working closely with Executive colleagues, stakeholders and governance groups to support organisational objectives
* Providing visible leadership across customer services, operational delivery and organisational performance
* Supporting the ongoing development of a customer focused, high performing and values driven organisation
Experience Required
* Significant senior leadership experience within social housing, property, customer operations or a related sector
* Responsibility for Housing Management, Property Services or broader operational functions
* Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams and senior managers
* Strong understanding of repairs, maintenance, compliance and service performance
* Experience overseeing or leading DLO operations
* A track record of driving organisational change, cultural improvement and service transformation
* Experience managing significant budgets and operational resources
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
