Responsibilities
* Carry out maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical equipment and machinery.
* Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions efficiently.
* Assemble, adjust, and test machinery to ensure optimal performance.
* Work from technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to complete tasks accurately.
* Support production teams to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operation.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe working environment in line with health and safety standards.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in an industrial, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with assembly, installation, and maintenance of industrial machinery.
* Practical, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Health and safety awareness and adherence to safe working practices.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with CNC or automated machinery.
* Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, or other mechanical systems.
* Relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds).
