We are seeking a Bartender, for Eastwood Hall, part of The Venues Collection. Casual Hours at £12.60, evening shift and weekends. The Bartender is responsible for providing a welcoming and professional experience for all guests by expertly preparing and serving beverages. This role involves delivering a wide variety of wines, spirits, and other drinks while maintaining a high level of service and hospitality. The Bartender will manage bar operations efficiently, maintain cleanliness, follow safety regulations and procedures, and contribute to an exceptional dining or event experience. Drink Preparation & Service: Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including spirits, wines, and beers, in accordance with the hotel's standards and recipes. Provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests regarding drink choices, food pairings, and specials. Serve drinks in a timely manner while maintaining accuracy in order-taking and following responsible alcohol service guidelines. Guest Interaction & Service: Greet guests warmly as they arrive at the bar and engage with them in a friendly and professional manner. Monitor guest satisfaction, handle inquiries, and address any complaints or concerns in a prompt, polite, and effective manner. Create a dynamic, inviting atmosphere that enhances the guest experience. Promote hotel services, events, and promotions to guests when appropriate. Bar Operations: Manage bar stock, including restocking shelves, refrigerators, and maintaining organised storage of beverages and garnishes. Ensure that all glassware, bar tools, and equipment are cleaned and maintained in accordance with health and safety standards. Conduct regular stock checks and communicate shortages or reordering needs to the R&B or F&B manager. Process payments and ensure accuracy in billing and record-keeping, adhering to Company procedures. Compliance & Safety: Adhere to alcohol laws and regulations, ensuring responsible service and verifying the age of guests whenever necessary. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene behind the bar, including sanitising surfaces, washing glassware, and following safety protocols. Follow the hotel's safety and allergen procedures to ensure the safe handling of beverages and food items. Team Collaboration: Work closely with bar staff, F&B staff, and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service during busy shifts. Assist with training and mentoring junior bar staff as needed. Attend staff meetings and participate in training sessions to stay updated on new menu items, hotel policies, or industry trends.
