Virtual Reality and Immersive Tools Analyst – Drive a Greener Future with the @One Alliance Location: Peterborough / Hybrid Who are we? We’re the @one Alliance – a ground-breaking collaboration between Anglian Water and seven industry-leading partners: Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO. Together, we deliver over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme. As we prepare for AMP8, our most ambitious period yet, we’ll be delivering an even broader range of innovative and environmentally-driven infrastructure projects – from urban drainage to nature-based solutions like constructed wetlands. Why join us? As a key member of the @one Digital Team you’ll have opportunity to develop your digital skills while helping shape the future of a leading collaborative alliance. You’ll work closely with the wider Alliance and the broader digital community to drive innovation, collaboration and efficiency through the smart use of digital technologies. With a particular focus on embedding VR and AR across the Alliance, you’ll engage with both external suppliers and internal users to support development, adoption and real-world impact. This role gives you hands-on exposure to the full digital transformation journey—from identifying emerging technologies to embedding them into business as usual—while directly contributing to the digital strategy and helping the @one Alliance achieve its efficiency goals and maintain its position as an industry leader. What you’ll be doing: Support the adoption and effective use of VR, AR and other digital technologies by onboarding and training users, providing guidance, developing user documentation, and delivering ongoing end-user support across project teams and enabling functions. Act as the link between users and digital platform suppliers by gathering feedback, managing queries and issues, identifying and supporting superusers, and helping users adapt to platform updates and evolving digital roadmaps. Build and manage strong relationships with VR / AR suppliers to support the successful embedding of their technologies across the Alliance, ensuring effective communication, smooth adoption, and clear two-way feedback between suppliers and platform users. Drive maximum value from suppliers and their solutions by challenging performance on cost, time and capability, influencing product roadmaps, and using industry insight to push innovation and continuous improvement. Source and trial emerging VR / AR technologies by staying close to industry trends, representing the Alliance at events, and working with new suppliers to test, pilot and prove value on real projects. Unlock new efficiency gains through VR / AR by understanding Alliance processes, spotting high-impact digital use cases, and partnering with stakeholders to embed technology where it delivers real improvements. What you’ll bring: A genuine passion for digital and emerging technologies, particularly within VR / AR and extended reality, with some hands-on experience of how these are delivered in practice. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and suppliers. Experience or interest in supporting and managing business systems, with a customer-centric mindset and a focus on delivering value for users. A willingness to learn and grow, with curiosity around the product lifecycle and an appetite to develop your technical capability. A collaborative, team-focused approach, using clear communication to influence, share ideas and help drive process improvement and efficiency. Our vision and values: The @One Alliance is more than just a delivery organisation—it’s a movement. We’re a collaborative team committed to driving change and delivering sustainable outcomes for our communities. Our vision is to help Anglian Water achieve Net Zero operational carbon by 2030, while creating climate-resilient assets that will benefit future generations. We live by our values: Build trust Do the right thing Always explore Ready to help us reduce carbon, drive innovation, and deliver a sustainable future? Apply today and help us shape a safer, smarter, and more sustainable future.
