Job Description
Harvey Nash is now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Chief Finance Officer. This is a part time role at 3 days a week, for a 12-month period.
Inside of IR35
£400 - £450 a day
Periodic meetings onsite in Aberdeen (once every second month).
This role would suit someone who has leadership experience, within a public sector organisation in Scotland.
The role:
Your primary role is to provide strategic leadership necessary to secure ongoing financial sustainability, long-term stability, and robust governance for our client's organisation.
Essential Criteria
Fully qualified accountant (e.g., CIPFA, ICAS, ACCA, CIMA) with current membership of a recognised professional body.
Demonstrable success in delivering financial recovery, efficiency programmes, or major financial change initiatives.
Skilled in translating financial plans into delivery, monitoring impact, and maintaining rigorous oversight.
Strong influencing, collaboration, and communication skills, with confidence in advising senior leaders and board members.
Strategic thinker with a practical delivery focus and strong personal credibility.
Strong communication skills and the ability to engaged effectively with senior leaders, board members and budget holders on financial performance.
