Job Description
3. Prepare and submit corporate tax returns in compliance with UK tax regulations.
4. Assist with tax planning and advisory projects to optimise tax efficiency.
5. Conduct tax research and provide insights on legislative changes affecting the business.
6. Work closely with internal departments to ensure accurate tax reporting.
7. Support the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions.
8. Respond to HMRC queries and manage audits effectively.
9. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the tax function.
10. Collaborate with external advisors on complex tax matters as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Direct Tax Accountant should have:
11. A professional accountancy qualification or equivalent, such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA.
12. Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and compliance requirements.
13. Proficiency in using tax software and financial systems.
14. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
15. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
16. Experience in the financial services industry is advantageous.
17. Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
