Team
We are recruiting an Establishment Planning Development Manager to join our Operational Planning team, part of the wider Operations Strategy & Planning department. This role reports to the Senior Establishment Planning Manager and is supported by a Senior Establishment Planning Analyst. Establishment Planning plays a central role in determining crew resourcing levels and therefore works closely with a broad range of stakeholders including Pilot and Cabin Crew Management, Crew Training, Recruitment, Industrial Relations, and Finance.
What you’ll be doing
As Establishment Planning Development Manager, you will take responsibility for the continuous improvement of our establishment planning tools and processes, ensuring planning accuracy and resilience in response to emerging trends. You will own the long-term establishment plan, providing visibility of likely establishment demand over a five-year horizon, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure sufficient training capacity is in place to meet requirements. A key part of the role is to ensure that easyJet’s five-year commercial plan can be delivered from a crew perspective, while developing strategic solutions that maximise crew productivity year-round. You will collaborate with commercial functions to unlock growth opportunities such as network expansion and seasonality, and partner with HR and industrial relations teams to improve the efficiency of our crew model through contracting and industrial rules. In addition, you will oversee the ongoing development of headcount planning tools and analytical models to improve forecasting accuracy, while ensuring cross-functional processes and governance remain robust, accurate, and deliverable.
What you’ll need to do the role:
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong academic background, ideally educated to degree level in a mathematical or equivalent field, combined with proven experience in a numerical, analytical, and problem-solving role. You will have the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a high-performing team within a complex organisation, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in responding to changing demands and supporting others through operational challenges. With significant experience in business planning, you will be comfortable balancing operational, strategic, and commercial needs while maintaining a clear grasp of detail within the bigger picture. Strong technical skills are essential, including advanced MS Excel capability and practical database expertise such as MS SQL, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. You will also bring experience in financial budgeting and forecasting, continuous process improvement, and ideally an understanding of crew scheduling, establishment drivers, and flight time limitations. Excellent communication skills are key, enabling you to present complex information in a clear and concise way to senior stakeholders, while maintaining a strategic mindset that ensures structural improvements are consistently delivered.
What you’ll get in return:
> Competitive base salary
> Up to 20% bonus
> 25 days holiday
> BAYE, SAYE & Performance share schemes
> 5% pension
> Life Assurance
> Flexible benefits package
> Excellent staff travel benefits
Location & Hours of Work:
