Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

A great opportunity to join our team! This stunning extra care community in Green Park Village, Reading, opened in 2019. We support older people with varying care needs to live independently in their own homes with peace of mind. We offer high-quality living in our 129 beautifully designed apartments with various on-site facilities, including care delivered by an independent provider, 24-hour concierge, restaurant, and communal areas.
Typical day as a Retirement Living Manager
1. You’ll have overall responsibility for managing our service at Huntley Place.
2. Lead a team of housing colleagues and work alongside our separately commissioned care provider to deliver efficient, high-quality, cost-effective, and customer-centered services in our mixed-tenure scheme.
3. Be the front of house for our customers, empowering them to live well in our Huntley community and creating a positive environment for colleagues.
4. Ensure high performance and quality assurance of services through effective motivation, direction, and liaising with other departments.
5. Monitor service performance against budget targets and safety regulations, ensuring visibility and accessibility to referring agencies and self-referrals.

You bring
1. Experience managing a care service, large contracts, KPIs, budgets, and driving high-quality service delivery.
2. Strong people management and motivational skills, with the ability to foster teamwork, share best practices, and maintain professional relationships with peers and external stakeholders.
3. A passion for promoting independence, social inclusion, and innovative service development.
4. Excellent knowledge of Housing, Care & Support sectors, safeguarding, and housing law.
5. Ability to respond swiftly to emerging risks affecting individuals, teams, or contracts.
6. Excellent communication, IT, and analytical skills.
