We’re now looking for a passionate and technically skilled Energy & Carbon Manager to join our mission and play a pivotal role in delivering our sustainability strategy - transforming the way we use, manage, and think about energy.
Your role in our journey
This is more than just a job - it’s a chance to lead the transition away from fossil fuels, shape how we generate and use renewable energy, and make carbon reduction a reality for communities across the country.
Supporting the delivery of our ambitious Sustainability Strategy and meeting decarbonisation targets, you’ll lead on the development of a carbon reduction plan to meet science-based targets and develop a strategy to phase out fossil fuels across our housing portfolio. You’ll design scalable, commercially viable renewable energy solutions for both new and existing homes and manage communal energy procurement, enabling the switch to cost-effective clean energy.
What you’ll bring
* Proven experience in an energy or carbon role, preferably in housing, construction, or the built environment.
* Strong knowledge of carbon footprinting and carbon reduction.
* Comprehensive knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and regulation.
* Experience of large-scale energy procurement.
* Knowledge of communal heating systems and Metering and Billing regulations 2014.
* Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage diverse stakeholders.
* The ability to juggle multiple priorities and drive work independently.
Experience of SAP and RdSAP is desirable, as is an environmental qualification (or working towards this).
Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
