Job Description
The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities: Finance Business Partnering
3. Acting as a Finance Business Partner to heads of department and operational teams
4. Working with budget holders to explain financial performance, variances and trends
5. Supporting budgets, forecasts and cashflow planning, providing insight and challenge
6. Helping non-finance stakeholders understand the numbers and make better decisions
Management reporting & control
7. Preparation of monthly management accounts for designated group companies
8. Review and posting of monthly journals, ensuring accuracy and completeness
9. Supporting the month-end close process to deliver timely, reliable reporting
10. Reviewing monthly and quarterly VAT returns
Cashflow, projects & improvement
11. Assisting with cashflow forecasting, budgets and VAT turnover reconciliations
12. Supporting ad-hoc projects across the wider Group as required
13. Contributing to the ongoing improvement of reporting, processes and controls
14. Working closely with Accounts Assistants and the Finance Manager to embed efficient routines
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will likely have the following profile:
15. CA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
16. Strong experience preparing management accounts in a multi-entity environment
17. Strong Excel skills; experience building or working with financial models is an advantage
18. Confident communicator with strong relationship-building and influencing skills
19. Comfortable operating as a Finance Business Partner, not just a reporter of numbers
20. Highly organised with excellent time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines
21. Proactive, flexible and committed to continuous professional development
22. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail

This role offers a competitive package up to £55,000 DOE plus benefits.
