This role provides the chance to develop or deepen strong administrative and organisational skills within an educational environment, with a particular focus on examinations and data management. You will work alongside a supportive and knowledgeable team, gaining hands-on experience and professional development tailored to your level of experience. About the Role As an Administration Officer / Apprentice (Exams & Data), you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our examination processes and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely management of key school data. Your main responsibilities will include: Assisting with the preparation, organisation, and delivery of school examinations, including student onboarding, data inputting, and report generation. Supporting the collection, entry, validation, and maintenance of student data, including assessments and examination results. Helping to ensure full compliance with examination regulations, JCQ requirements, and internal school procedures. Liaising professionally with students, parents, and staff to provide accurate and timely information on exam schedules, processes, and results. Maintaining accurate records and databases in line with data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding requirements. Contributing to the continuous improvement of data systems, reporting processes, and administrative workflows. Learning and/or developing expertise in a range of digital tools and platforms essential for exams administration and school data analysis. For those joining as an apprentice, this role provides an excellent route into school administration while working towards a nationally recognised qualification in business or administration. For those joining with prior experience, the role will offer scope for greater responsibility, autonomy, and professional progression. About You We are looking for someone who is: Detail-focused, organised, and able to manage a varied workload. A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Eager to learn, develop, and contribute to a busy and forward-thinking school environment. Able to maintain accuracy under pressure and meet important deadlines. Committed to confidentiality, data integrity, and high professional standards. Salary and Benefits Apprenticeship route: Grade 4 — £24,000 to £25,328 per annum (FTE). Experienced route: Grade 5–6 — up to £31,022 per annum (FTE), depending on experience. Requirements We are looking for someone who: Has a genuine interest in administrative work, particularly in relation to examinations and data management. Demonstrates strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Can communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders. Has basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word. Is committed to maintaining confidentiality and following data protection requirements. Brings a positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and embrace new challenges. Ideally has some previous administrative experience or experience within an educational environment (desirable but not essential).
