Job Description: Support Worker

Salary: £12.21 per hour (£25,396.80 per annum)

Working Hours: 20/25 hours per week

Service: Highlea Care Limited

Highlea Care Limited is part of the National Care Group. Based in and around Bishop Auckland and Shildon, Highlea Care supports adults and young people across 16 supported living services. We support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, mental health, and challenging behaviors.

As a team and with the people we support, we promote person-centered support and help each person to achieve their goals and aspirations.

We are currently looking for a Support Worker to join our team at Highlea Care Limited - Shildon.

The role of a National Care Group Support Worker

You will work with young adults who have complex needs. We are looking for a respectful and caring individual who can passionately support our young adults to fulfill their potential. This is a challenging role but also highly rewarding.

You will build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and planning goals and ambitions together. You will help plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning, and running errands. You will support with personal care, which may include assistance with eating and administering medication. You will help plan and participate in enjoyable days out. You will make a positive impact by supporting independence whenever possible.
