The Role Responsible for delivering Supply Chain Strategy and Intelligence ensuring the function retains a long term strategic vision focused on developing long term category and supplier strategies as well as supporting future supply chain design. Role Responsibilities: Not limited to Lead the development of strategic sourcing (including category and equipment) strategies to support current and future programmes. Lead on pan programme activities including Supply Chain design, delivery of category and supplier strategies. Identify opportunities for alignment and integration with other business functions, Corporate and the wider Submarine Enterprise. Identify and leverage embedded (sub-tier) opportunities using BAE and Enterprise frameworks in the supply chain. Use a range of tools to analyse the defined category trends, demand and opportunities. Responsibility for leading/influencing a cross business and cross functional team of stakeholders to design and implement business benefit. Working with the businesses and other functions ensuring category recommendations meet expectations and best outcomes are achieved. Acting as champion for procurement, with a particular focus on embedding category management of direct spend across the UK businesses. Developing support material for category management to standardise processes, document lessons learned and good practice and deliver improved operational efficiency. What are BAE Systems looking for from you?: Experience of line management or coaching. Experience influencing stakeholders. A background working with electrical systems and equipment (desirable). A background working with long build durations but a low mix of product types (desirable). Security Requirements: SC, ITAR & UK EYES ONLY This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs).
