Category Manager – Shape the Future of Trade at Screwfix!

As a Category Manager at Screwfix, you’ll be at the heart of shaping the future of one of our core categories. You’ll drive strategy, make decisions that steer growth and boost margins, and ensure customers always get the best products at unbeatable value. Responsibilities

13. Strategic Leadership: Define and deliver forward-thinking trading strategies that leverage market insight and supplier partnerships to drive growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction, underpinned by accurate forecasting and a strong focus on cost efficiency.
14. Innovation & Trends: Lead market-shaping strategies that set us apart from competitors.
15. Market Analysis: Analyze the market landscape, responding with agility to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks.
16. Collaboration & Negotiation: Build winning relationships with suppliers and internal teams, securing the best deals and innovative products.
17. Team Empowerment: Lead, inspire, and develop your team to achieve ambitious targets while promoting a culture of growth and innovation.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

18. Proven experience as a Buyer, Category Manager, or similar role, with a track record of delivering growth.

19. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to turn insights into action.

20. Experience leading product range, pricing, and promotional strategies.

21. Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing talent and driving team success.

22. A strategic mindset with a love for innovation and staying ahead of the curve.

23. Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships, drive collaboration, and engage effectively with a diverse network of stakeholders.
