Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a consultancy for the design and build of Nuclear EC & I Systems to recruit a Project Manager on a permanent basis on their site in Bridgwater, local to Hinkley Point C. This role is suited to a Project Manager with early-career experience in an engineering environment who is ready to take greater ownership and responsibility in a supportive professional environment. Responsibilities and duties of the Project Manager role
Take full accountability for the successful end-to-end delivery of projects, defining scope, execution strategies, and delivery plans.
Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams while acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, costs, variations, and change control, supporting the development of strong commercial awareness.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and ISO standards.
Prepare and maintain project quality documentation and oversee project closure and handover processes.
Professional and Personal skills
The Project Manager role would suit someone who has:
HNC/HND or degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a technically relevant discipline.
Previous experience delivering projects in an engineering or technical environment, including responsibility for cost, schedule, and client communication.
Project Management qualification desirable but not essential.
Experience in regulated industries is beneficial but not required; previous nuclear experience is not necessary as training and support will be provided.Salary and benefits of the Project Manager role
