Duties of the role
The Senior Admissions Adviser is a member of the University’s Marketing, Student Recruitment and Admissions team.
You will play a key role in ensuring that the team delivers a high quality admissions service to a wide range of stakeholders, including prospective students, schools, recruitment agents, academic staff in University departments and Faculties, and other student services within the University. Your primary responsibility will be to review and process applications, making selection decisions using specified criteria.
Senior Admissions Advisers are the first point of contact for applicants to the University, and also provide advice and guidance to applicants, members of the public and University staff throughout all stages of the admissions process.
Qualifications and skills required
The successful candidate will need to possess the ability to work accurately with attention to detail as you will be processing a high volume of applications. You will also need the ability to manage multiple tasks and to prioritise effectively.
In addition, you must have highly developed customer service skills and excellent written skills, as you will regularly be liaising with applicants, primarily in writing.
