Job Description
This role is predominantly laboratory-based and involves carrying out case assessments, providing instruction to relevant Forensic Services scientific staff, interpreting test results scientifically, and applying judgment and experience to report fact-based opinions internally or externally.
The role may require attending incidents to provide expert advice and guidance, conducting scene examinations to maximize evidence recovery, and assisting with criminal investigations.
Standby/On Call
The post holder is contractually required to participate in a standby/call-out rota, averaging one seven-day week including weekends every thirteen weeks, with a standby payment of £35 per 24-hour day on the rota.
Overtime during callouts will be paid at the appropriate rate.
