The Vacancy
At Keech Hospice, we believe that the spaces we create can have a huge impact on the well-being of our patients. We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to join our compassionate team and help maintain a warm, calm, and clean environment for our patients, their families, and our staff. Your role will be vital in ensuring that the hospice always reflects the high standards of care we provide.
This role is offered on a bank (casual) basis. The hours of work are 7:15 am to 12:30 pm.
What you will do
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout all areas of the hospice
* Communicate with patients, relatives, staff, and volunteers to provide a responsive service
* Follow infection control procedures and adhere to COSHH guidelines when using cleaning products
* Replenish hand towels, laundry, and other consumables
* Assist in the correct handling and disposal of clinical waste and rubbish
* Transport items around the hospice
* Complete daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping schedules and ensure accurate record-keeping
What you will need
* Experience in a similar housekeeping role is an advantage
* A proactive and detail-oriented mindset, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, patients, and volunteers
