Job Description: Senior VoIP & IT Infrastructure Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior VoIP & IT Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of our telecommunications and data network environments. You will be responsible for delivering best-in-class IT solutions, focusing on high availability, performance, and seamless user adoption for small-to-mid-size business sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
System Architecture & Implementation: Lead end-to-end IT projects using a structured 6-step approach: needs assessment, workflow study, solution architecture, deployment, user training, and ongoing support.
VoIP Management: Architect and manage advanced VoIP platforms, including Netsapiens and Yeastar systems.
Network Infrastructure: Plan, install, and troubleshoot complex computer networks involving routers, switches, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Yealink, Polycom).
Tier 2/3 Support: Provide expert-level technical support for voice and data network issues, utilizing remote tools like TeamViewer or AnyDesk.
Project Leadership: Manage migrations (e.g., ISDN to VoIP) and troubleshoot softphone implementations across Android and Windows platforms.
Performance Optimization: Use network diagnostic tools (e.g., MRTG, Radius Server Test) to monitor and optimize IT infrastructure for maximum uptime.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of extensive experience in Telecommunications, IT Support, Help Desk, and Data Networking.
Certifications: Must hold Yeastar Technician, Routing Specialist, and Security Specialist certifications.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in the Netsapiens VoIP platform.
Deep understanding of networking protocols (SIP, TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS).
Hands-on experience with hardware from Yealink, Grandstream, Polycom, and Cisco.
Analytical Skills: Strong passion for data collection, analysis, and methodical technical problem resolution.
Preferred Skills
Experience with TPG Telecom tools or similar carrier-grade environments.
Background in Project Management for clients with up to 300 users.
Ability to read, analyze, and draw detailed network diagrams.
Contract duration of less than 1 month. with 30 hours per week.
