Essential criteria
* First level Registered General Nurse or Midwife
* BSC(Hons)Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting) or equivalent level qualifications
* ENB 997/Mentor
* Evidence of post registration education
Desirable criteria
* Masters Level Advanced Practice qualification or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria
* 3 Years post SCPHN experience
* Knowledge of the MESCH programme
* 3 Years post SCPHN experience Knowledge of the MESCH programme Evidence of Clinical Lead responsibility
Skills & Abilities
Essential criteria
* Able to demonstrate a commitment to the Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
* In-depth knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and public health policy.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
* Teaching/Training Skills
* Good organisational skill and safe approach to decision making
* Negotiating and influencing skills.
* Ability to Respond to stressful situations positively and ensure tight deadlines are met.
* To assess / co-ordinate and delegate workload to varying staff skill mix.

* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development including documentary evidence of having updated own knowledge, skills and theory so that they are able to deliver enhanced and new developments in Health Visiting
* Awareness of Healthy Child Programme and the MECSH Programme Manual / Schedule, motivational interviewing, solution focussed therapy approaches
* Experience of Clinical Audit
* Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding Procedures
Desirable criteria
* Evidence of leadership experience including experience and evidence of developing others.
* Recent evidence of introducing change and innovation
