 
        A vacancy has arisen for a Warrant Officer (Any Profession) to serve as the Squadron Warrant Officer of No 504 Squadron, RAuxAF at RAF Wittering on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCOS), with an initial proposed start date of 02 March 2026 (or earlier dependant on preferred candidate’s circumstances). In accordance with AP3392 Vol 7 Part 2 Chap 6 Sec 7, the post is also open for applicants to apply on alternative TCOS, including ADC (180), PTVR or VeRR. Applicants are requested to make their TCOS preference clear in their application covering letter, for review during the selection process. Applicants for alternative TCOS should state how the role could be delivered on their preferred TCOS, for consideration by the selection board. No 504 (County of Nottingham) Sqn RAuxAF is a Logistics Support Sqn that sits alongside its sister sqns, 501 (County of Gloucester) and 605 (County of Warwick) Sqns RAuxAF. Based at RAF Wittering, 504 Sqn is brigaded within the Reserve Logistic Support Wing (RLSW). The role is critical to provide trained Logistics (Driver, Supplier and Chef) and Engineering (Gen Techs (Mech and Elec)) personnel to support RAF operational activities at home and overseas. Due to the part-time nature of reserves, the post incumbent will be expected to work a minimum of one weekend a month, occasional evenings and involvement in periods of residential Annual Continuous Training (ACT). The 504 Sqn Warrant Officer will be directly responsible to the Officer Commanding 504 Sqn for the effective organisation, implementation and management of the headquarters function along with discipline, welfare and morale within the Sqn. They will be the voice of the enlisted aviators into the Sqn Comd team; as well as other key outputs listed below. Specific responsibilities of the Sqn WO include: Assist the Comd team in the effective daily running of the Sqn. Coordinate Sqn input to Stn Duties and lead all aspects of Sqn welfare. Sqn lead for all Drill and Ceremonial activity inc liaison with Regional, Local and Civic engagement requirements. Be custodian of the Sqn Standard. Oversight and implementation of Stn/Sqn Orders. On behalf of OC, assure Sqn public, non-public funds and property iaw KR1298 & AP3223. Liaise with the plethora of agencies to attract, train and retain for Reservist SP. Promote integration, optimisation and utility of Res SP. Dep Lead (to XO) on establishments amendments and SLIM actions. Maintain the Sqn Risk Register and apprise the CoC as appropriate. Ensure efficient and effective use of Sqn infra and resources to optimise availability for Sqn and other users. Promote positive attitudes to CI. Maintain a position of impartiality pan sqn depts, professions, ranks and cadres. Represent Sqn HQ at PSBs, and job interviews where appropriate. Be the Sqn Champion for Retention, Mental Fitness and Resilience, Wellbeing, D&I. Oversee the co-ordination of all major Sqn events.
