Role Description
Rha Commercial® is seeking an experienced and motivated Building Surveyor to join its growing consultancy team in a full-time hybrid role based in Bridgend with flexibility for occasional remote working.
The successful candidate will undertake a broad range of professional building surveying duties including building and condition surveys, feasibility studies and project delivery across multiple sectors. The role will also involve advising on dilapidations matters, ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual obligations and supporting clients throughout the lifecycle of projects.
As the business continues to expand its service offering, the role may also include exposure to valuation instructions and wider professional consultancy services. This role offers exposure to a diverse range of professional consultancy services across the built environment sector.
The position requires regular collaboration with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality professional services and commercially focused outcomes.
Qualifications
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Commercially aware with excellent client-facing communication skills
* Proficient in project management and reporting software
* Good understanding of RICS Valuation – Global Standards (“Red Book”)
* Ability to prepare valuation reports for commercial and residential assets
* Knowledge of market analysis, asset appraisal and valuation methodologies
* Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Party wall matters
* Schedules of condition
* Project monitoring
* MRICS/AssocRICS qualified or actively working towards chartership
* Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline preferred
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
* Ability to work independently while managing multiple commissions and deadlines
* Positive, proactive and collaborative approach to client and project delivery
