Responsibilities
* Perform calibration of RF and electronic equipment, battery chargers/analyzers, and air data test sets using approved procedures and best metrology practices.
* Ensure accurate completion of calibration certificates and records.
* Participate in UKAS and accreditation audits to uphold quality standards.
* Create measurement uncertainty budgets for customer calibrations.
* Diagnose and repair equipment that fails calibration, ensuring it meets required standards before re-calibration.
* Perform repair to the component level, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly.
What Calibration Technicians Will Bring To The Team
* Proven experience as a Calibration Technician.
* Background in inspection and calibration within manufacturing or aerospace sectors.
* Technical qualification (Degree, HND, or HNC preferred).
* Strong knowledge of calibration practices and theories.
* Excellent understanding of BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience in repair to the component level.
* Ability to diagnose and repair equipment that fails calibration.
* Good understanding of circuit diagrams and the ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
* Recognised trade qualification or relevant military education.
