Location: Stanford-le-Hope
Pay: £13.12 per hour
Hours: 42 hours per week (4 on, 4 off days) from 6am to 6pm
As a Security Officer at Securitas, you’ll protect people, property and information, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property and information safe. That includes:
* Preventing and deterring unauthorised access to the site, monitoring fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV.
* Conducting external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
* Carrying out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
* Managing keys and performing locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
* Maintaining all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
* Issuing visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
* Providing support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors while ensuring safeguarding of the premises.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who values teamwork, shows initiative and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:
* A valid SIA licence.
* Full manual driving licence.
* Flexibility to work days and weekends.
* The right to work in the UK, with a 5‑year checkable history.
* Ability to work on own and in a team.
* Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
