EDF (UK) Bridgwater, England, United Kingdom
MEH Manager, Full-Time, Permanent. Location: HPC, minimum 3-4 days a week in office.
Step into a pivotal role at the heart of one of the UK's most ambitious energy projects. As MEH Manager within EDFs Joint Design Office, you will be driving innovation and efficiency across a major nuclear build, helping shape the future of low carbon energy. This is your chance to lead a high performing engineering team on a project that is not only technically complex but nationally significant.
The Opportunity
At Hinkley Point C HPC we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
As MEH Manager, you will be instrumental in leading a multi-disciplinary team that responds to site queries and design changes across the MEH Joint Venture and NSSS Auxiliaries contracts. You will oversee the operational management of discipline leads and engineers from both the Responsible Designer and NNB, ensuring technical responses are timely, accurate, and compliant.
You will also play a key role in resource planning and performance monitoring, aligning team output with the ramp-up in delivery over the next year. Collaboration is central to this role; you will foster a one team culture between JDO and contractor engineers, ensuring seamless integration and shared success.
