Job Introduction HCRG Care Group are looking for a proactive and analytical Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our high‑performing finance team. In this pivotal role, you will provide accurate, timely and insightful financial information that supports strategic decision‑making across the organisation. Acting as a key link between finance and operations, you’ll ensure financial clarity, robust control, and meaningful analysis that drives performance and business improvement. This is a fixed-term opportunity for 12 months that offers remote working. What You’ll Be Doing No two days will look the same. Your responsibilities will include, but won’t be limited to: Month-End & Reporting Lead month-end close activities including pre-close tasks, journal postings and board pack preparation. Consolidate financial results across business units and review exceptionals, non‑EBITDA items, and interest accruals. Prepare flash results, trend analysis, profit & loss reports and performance dashboards for senior leadership. Forecasting & Budgeting Co‑ordinate quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting cycles. Set up and consolidate forecast/budget models and deliver insightful variance analysis. Support business units through forecasting and budget preparation periods. Analysis & Performance Improvement Provide financial analysis that informs decision‑making at senior levels. Review and develop capital expenditure forecasts and monitor cost centre performance. Drive improvements to reporting processes, templates and system efficiency. Financial Systems & Control Maintain the chart of accounts and manage creation of cost centres and GL accounts. Support financial systems and reporting tools to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Co‑ordinate external financial submissions and ensure timely and accurate reporting. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Act as a bridge between finance, payroll, IT and operational teams. Ensure alignment on reporting deadlines, processes and requirements. Lead improvements in FTE reporting accuracy across the organisation. About YouEssential A professional accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA). Minimum 3 years’ FP&A experience. Strong financial modelling skills with advanced Excel capability. Solid understanding of month-end close, budgeting and forecasting cycles. A team player with a positive, “can do” attitude and a desire to grow. Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders. Desirable Experience with financial systems and reporting tools such as Business Central or Jet Reports.
