We are currently working in partnership with a Not for Profit based in Macclesfield, who are recruiting for a Procurement Officer on a permanent contract.
The position is due to start in April and offers a salary of £33,000. This will be a hybrid position with two days per week working from home and other benefits include 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) and up to 12% employer pension contribution.
The ideal candidate will have a background in both public and private sector procurement and possess strong commercial and negotiation skills. A working knowledge of PCR2015 and PA23 is highly desirable but not essential.
1. Building strong relationships with suppliers and evaluating supplier performance
2. Setting up and managing tenders, including negotiating pricing, terms and volumes
3. Managing procurement budgets and analysing financial implications of purchases
4. Maintaining adherence to regulations such as Procurement Regulations 2015 and Procurement Act 2023
5. Collaborating with various stakeholders to align procurement with business goals
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
6. Understanding of PCR 2015 and PA23 is desirable
7. Public and Private sector procurement experience
8. Strong communicator with good commercial and negotiation skills
