Nursing Associate

The closing date is 27 April 2026.

Are you an experienced, newly qualified or soon to be qualified Nursing Associate? If so, we want to hear from you!

We currently have a range of exciting opportunities for qualified Nursing Associates to join our established community nursing teams in Amber Valley. This role will provide care for housebound patients in the Amber Valley area which includes Belper and the surrounding areas.

As a Nursing Associate you will be expected to provide community based individualised care to include long‑term condition management, venepuncture and medication administration as well as completing various nursing assessments and following treatment regimes.

This is a very exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to progress and develop in the role. There may be an opportunity to apply for the Nursing Apprenticeship programme subject to successful completion of the probationary period.

Main duties of the job

Working as a Nursing Associate you will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care, putting patients at the heart of everything you do.

You will be working in a multi‑professional team and will need to be able to think on the spot and be empathetic.

For this role you will need to be able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with other staff and patients. You will also have the opportunity to manage your workload on a daily basis, following the guidance of your line manager.

The post holder will organise and prioritise their own day‑to‑day work tasks and activities, and delegate tasks to junior colleagues. The successful post holder must be able to work alone and unsupervised.

The post holder will be required to have access to a car to complete patient visits in the community and clinical settings.

You must be passionate about our business, creating a culture of continuous improvement, where patient welfare is at the heart of all you do.

It will be your responsibility to ensure that your behaviour and values reflect those set out in the DCHS Way.
