We seek a detail-oriented and dedicated Finance officer to join the Cash Management Team in Finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of financial processes and support systems used within the Cash Management Team, providing support to service areas and management on accounts receivable/payable with technical, operational, and financial management matters.
Responsibilities
1. Administer the Cash Management Team's financial processes and support systems.
2. Support service areas, and manage accounts receivable/payable with technical, operational, and financial oversight.
Qualifications and Experience
* GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
* NVQ level Business & Finance qualification or equivalent experience.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), social media, ERP systems.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
* Experience in financial reconciliation.
* Strong understanding of financial principles and ERP systems, especially Oracle Fusion applications (desirable).
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
* Process and reconcile daily banking transactions.
* Verify and post receipts and payments in the accounting system.
* Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial policies and procedures are followed.
Essential Compliance Requirements
* Provide 5 years of references.
* Standard CRB/DBS clearance.
* Complete pre-engagement screening as part of the application process.
