We are recruiting Learning Support Assistants on behalf of a specialist education setting in Haringey. What you will be doing
* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis throughout the school day
* Promoting communication, independence and life skills through structured activities
* Assisting with personal care, feeding or mobility needs where required (full training provided)
* Encouraging emotional regulation using gentle, supportive strategies
* Working closely with teachers and therapy teams to follow individual support plans
* Keeping pupils safe, calm and engaged in learning and social activities
Your presence and encouragement can change a young person’s day—and sometimes their future.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
* Experience in care, support work or working with vulnerable individuals (paid or voluntary)
* A sincere desire to support children and young people with additional needs
* Patience, resilience and a calm approach when faced with challenges
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
* Willingness to support with personal care when needed
You don’t need school-based experience. Your care experience matters, your empathy matters, and your willingness to learn matters.
