Overview
Lead Clinician to manage the in-house Clinical Team at Woodside Park School, Penge, London. The postholder will work collaboratively with the school's Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role will be split between clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload, delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils who may present with complex profiles of need as a result of autism and other neurodivergent, developmental trauma and SEMH needs. Meeting the needs of EHCP plans will be a primary focus, target led via OFG All, group and individual clinical ways of working embedded into our clinical practice. The postholder will coordinate line management of onsite clinical staff and lead service development of the school-based clinical service alongside the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.
Location: Woodside Park School, Woodside Park, Penge, London SE20 8QU
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 FTE, DOE
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am - 4.30pm
Contract: Permanent (term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on personal circumstances)
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate the onsite clinical team, including line management and service development of the school-based clinical service
* Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex needs, including autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma and SEMH
* Work collaboratively with the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead; implement needs of EHCP plans; deliver clinical work in group and individual formats
* Maintain a person-centred, safeguarding-focused approach and support pupils to flourish and gain independence
Essential Criteria
* Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Psychotherapist
* Valid and up-to-date professional registration and membership of a professional body (e.g. BPS)
* Experience with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs
* Clear and concise report writing related to clinical and research activities
* Experience of providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
* Ability to work independently and within a growing, multi-professional clinical service
