What does it take to be an Electrical Asset Technician?
You will have completed an apprenticeship and relevant electrical qualification.
Your ability to learn quickly and use your own initiative to solve problems is essential. You will train alongside an experienced Technician to gain all necessary skills and knowledge.
In addition to carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical assets, you will work towards a Licence to Operate Qualification to enable you to operate and maintain water treatment assets and processes.
Key responsibilities:
* Wiring, installing, maintaining, and controlling electrical equipment necessary for water treatment and distribution.
* Calibrating and maintaining technical analytical equipment to meet water quality standards.
* Proactively investigating asset trends and performing electrical interventions.
* Managing and assisting electrical framework contractors and internal high voltage, optimisation, and automation teams.
* Using electrical drawings and extensive electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
* Liaising with team members to respond to technical issues and maintain water supply.
Stand-by and overtime
You need a flexible approach to working hours, including participation in a standby rota. To undertake standby duties, you must live within the specified area.
Standby typically involves at least one day per week, with additional standby payments for availability. Overtime payments are provided for call-outs, at time and a half before midnight and double time after midnight.
