​ ​ Cyber Assurance & Resilience (CA&R) Services -– Insider Threat Project Manager ​ CDS Defence & Security (CDS DS) provides a comprehensive range of sophisticated professional services to the UK defence and security sectors, as well as adjacent markets. Based in Cheltenham but with locations around the UK and abroad, the company is split into 4 operating divisions: ​ Cyber Assurance & Resilience (CA&R) Services, providing Cyber Security Subject Matter Experts to deliver cohesive, agile, responsive and integrated risk-based services. Using a combination of innovative approaches, existing/adapted technologies and recognised, trusted security governance and risk standards, we focus on identifying and reducing Cyber Security risks to your information and information systems in order to assure confidence and maximise digital and operational resilience. Current capabilities include specialist CA&R specialist programme management, Insider Threat monitoring and detection managed services, technical security assurance services and risk and governance services and consultancy. ​ Training Services, working closely with you to understand the specific factors that drive capability in your environment. From this, we design learning solutions that align directly with operational needs and close the gap between requirements and delivery. ​ Technical, training and operational support to UK strategic capability, overseas and in the UK. ​ Capability Sustainment services are designed to achieve readiness and operational resilience by ensuring the assets (products, systems and/or services) are safe, sustainable, and dependable. ​ Working for a sector-leading, independent SME brings the capacity for real innovation and agility in all aspects of the defence and security sectors, public and private. ​ The Role ​ This is an integral role within the CA&R Services Business Unit, responsible to our Insider Threat Practice Lead. The role will provide technical project management services to an established, ongoing technical Insider Threat programme. The Insider Threat programme provides a dedicated and appropriately empowered team of analysts, operating within a defined governance structure, supported by data scientists and engineers, and other stakeholders, who together can make predictive assessments of potential insider threat incidents. To achieve this, Insider Threat analysts are provided with a dynamically managed system of tools which enable integration and analyse of technical data from multiple domains, enriched with other non-technical data. The role is hybrid with flexibility to work from home and can be based at one of two primary support locations – either at a facility near Huntingdon or in Central London. Flexibility to travel to various locations throughout the UK is also required. ​ Insider Threat Programme Support – Project Manager Responsibilities ​ The role will: Manage all Insider Threat programme related tasks, ensuring the programme remains on schedule and is delivered to the required standard to fulfil customer requirements. Manage the Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) required for ingesting data into the central hub. Attend security working groups and technical support meetings. Ensure all programme artefacts are kept current: Benefits mapping Project schedule and milestones Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Observations (RAIDO) documents Stakeholder documents Communication documents Programme blueprint Ensure all programmatic reporting tools are kept current: Data source spread sheet ITSP briefing pack Programme progress reports Preparation and management of all bi-monthly Insider Threat programme Capability Integration Working Group (CIWG) meetings: Update slide pack Booking of meeting rooms Invitation of all attendees, ensuring they are booked in the relevant meeting location. Preparation and distribution of the agenda Meeting the secretary responsibilities: Record of attendees Taking accurate minutes and recording actions and decisions. Production and distribution of minutes within 3 days of the meeting. Ensure user requirements are captured and taken forward by the delivery teams. Provide support to the programme manager for all Insider Threat programme project office support tasks. Provide support to all programme related meetings as directed by the Insider Threat Programme Manager. Ensure the monthly report to the customer is completed at the end of each month, containing an update of all Insider Threat programme related tasks completed within that reporting period. Support any other programme/project tasks deemed within scope of the CDS DS contract to the customer Insider Threat programme stakeholders, as tasked by Programme manager. Support Defence Security and Resilience (DSR) for Defence Insider Risk Education, Policy and Identification of Critical Defence Outputs (CDOs) tasks. ​ The Ideal Candidate ​ The ideal candidate will meet the majority or all the following: ​ Experience of delivering operational and/or technical project management support within sensitive government and defence environments. Good understanding of technical concepts and systems. Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. An excellent verbal and written communicator. Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks concurrently, successfully balancing business and customer priorities. Ability to provide high-quality work under pressure that delivers security outcomes to tight deadlines and manage customer-stakeholder expectations. Ability to work effectively both individually and as a team member in a multi-disciplined organisation. Experience of threat detection and monitoring technologies and services (desirable). At least a basic level of knowledge of cyber security and information assurance concepts and threats. Ambition to work in a challenging and rewarding role that provides real benefit to customers. A proactive interest in maintaining and enhancing current skills. Retain the required level of Security Clearance (if not already Security Cleared, the agreement and ability to undergo and maintain such). Professional Qualifications and Certifications PRINCE2, APMP or AGILE PM.
